LiftOff is the finale of the NDRC LaunchPad programme. 15 startups have their products ready for market after an intense 3-month period of mentoring and iteration. Each LiftOff event is the showcase of this work. It is essentially an investor day, with approximately 100 investors in attendance, there to view the startup teams pitching their business ideas and competing for funding.
NDRC LaunchPad's Sixth LiftOff event design used a six sided polygon as a symbol for the group of startups. This was combined with abstracted, dynamic imagery of historical rocket launches. The event also has a more sophisticated and grown up feel than previous LiftOff events (seen in the use of typography) as it was felt that the programme was becoming more mature in the eyes of the public.
